UnLtd India’s Theory of Change is that social entrepreneurs will sustain and scale if they get an enabling ecosystem in their early stages. Through our 9 months Incubation Program, we provide our social entrepreneurs an opportunity to enhance their knowledge. The program is designed to focus on the following aspects:
- Validate beneficiary-solution fit, quantify the value proposition
- Build a business model and plan, including budgeting and costing
- Hone leadership and entrepreneurial skills
- Leverage a growing network of investors, experts, and peers
Thus, helping lay the foundation for a Sustainable & Scalable Social Impact organisation.
We believe a social entrepreneur is any individual who is taking action to create positive social change by setting up one of two type of organisations:
- A Not for profit organisation registered as a Section 8 Company / Trust / Society
- A Social Enterprise registered as an LLP / Pvt. Ltd / OPC / Partnership / Sole Proprietorship / Section 8 Company without 12A & 80G
Our 9 months program includes
- Site visit to deepen the understanding of the Founder(s), their work, and impact.
- Intense engagement of webinars, workshops, and learning insights (self-work) and One to one coaching towards developing the entrepreneurial ability to support the build and scale of their organisations.
- Workshops and one-to-one consultations by Experts on

- Storytelling / Marketing Comms / Social Media
- Finance, Compliance
- Leadership Development
- Investor pitches
- Relevant connections to Investors, Service Providers, sector experts, UI Alumni, Mentors, Peers.
UnLtd India is open to any solution that solves a pressing socio-economic issue in India. However, for our July 2022 cohort, we are looking for a Pan India cohort of early-stage Social Entrepreneurs, Founders of NGOs committed to solving important social problems in creative and impactful ways.
The July 2022 Cohort will focus on supporting innovative solutions in
- Skilling & Livelihoods
- Healthcare
- Environment
- Education
- Inclusive Development
- Disability
- You are a Founder / Co-Founder of an early – stage NGO, committed to growing your organisation for social change.
- You need to be an Indian Citizen above 18 years of age.
- You need to be the Founder/Co-Founder of an NGO, registered on or after 1st April 2017.
- The organisation should be legally registered as any one of the following:
- Section 8 Company
- Trust
- Society
- As on date of application, the NGO must have valid 12A & 80G certifications.
- You must be working full-time or if part-time, upwards of 3 days a week.
- Your organisation should have a strong focus on measurable social impact.
While selecting Social Entrepreneurs, we look for:
- Innovation in the idea/ solution to create meaningful impact
- Individual’s/ Founder’s entrepreneurial capabilities to build a high impact organisation
- Solution has the potential to create long term and sustained Impact with the community, at a city / state level and at scale
- Individuals who are open to feedback and can gain from our incubation support
The timelines are as follows:
- Applications will open from April 8th to April 26th*
- First Shortlist post Review of Applications by May 2nd
- Second Shortlist post Screening Calls with (Co)Founders by May 23rd
- Final Pitch Panels May 31st – June 10th
- Cohort Announcement by June 17th
- Induction Session Week of July 4th
