UnLtd India’s Theory of Change is that social entrepreneurs will sustain and scale if they get an enabling ecosystem in their early stages. Through our 9 months  Incubation Program, we provide our social entrepreneurs an opportunity to enhance their knowledge.  The program is designed to focus on the following aspects:

  • Validate beneficiary-solution fit, quantify the value proposition
  • Build a business model and plan, including budgeting and costing
  • Hone leadership and entrepreneurial skills
  • Leverage a growing network of investors, experts, and peers

Thus, helping lay the foundation for a Sustainable & Scalable Social Impact organisation.

We believe a Social Entrepreneur is any individual who is taking action to create positive social change by setting up one of two types of organisations:

  • A Not for profit organisation registered as a Section 8 Company / Trust / Society
  • A Social Enterprise registered as an LLP / Pvt. Ltd / OPC / Partnership / Sole Proprietorship
We personalize our 9 months Incubation Program to each Social Entrepreneur, as each idea is unique and every entrepreneur is on a different growth trajectory. Our Program provides one-on-one coaching, workshop based learning, access to experts, mentors, investors (Upon completion of the Program) and opportunities for peer learning. This contributes towards our core objective of helping social entrepreneurs with establishing the foundation for a sustainable and scalable Social Enterprise.

Our 9 months program includes

  • Site visit to deepen the understanding of the Founder(s), their work, and impact.
  • Intense engagement of webinars, workshops, and learning insights (self-work) and One to one coaching towards developing the entrepreneurial ability to support the build and scale of their organisations.

    • Leadership Development

  • Relevant connections to Investors, Service Providers, sector experts, UI Alumni, Mentors, Peers.

 

UnLtd India is open to any solution that solves a pressing socio-economic issue in India. For our July 2023 cohort, we are looking for a pan-India cohort of early-stage Social Enterprises working towards the Environment and Climate Change. The founders / co-founders of these enterprises need to be committed to solving important social problems in creative and impactful ways.

  • You are a Founder, co-founder* of a Social Enterprise, committed to growing your organisation for social change in the Environment and Climate Change Sector.
  • You need to be an Indian Citizen above 18 years of age.
  • You need to be the Founder/Co-Founder of a Social Enterprise, registered on/or before 1st April 2018. The organisation should be legally registered as any one of the following:
    • Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
    • Private Limited (Pvt Ltd)
    • One Person Company (OPC)
    • Sole Proprietorship
    • Partnership
  • You must be working full-time or if part-time, upwards of 3 days a week. If part-time currently, you need to have a plan for becoming full-time within the year.
  • The Social Enterprise you are applying for must be at an early stage of Prototyping / Developing a Minimum Viable Product / Piloting the product or solution.
  • Your organisation should have a strong focus on measurable social impact.

Please Note: Our program is currently not designed to support Farmer Producer Organisations, Federations, or projects that are a part of academic research.

  • While selecting Social Entrepreneurs, we look for:

    • Innovation in the idea/ scale of Impact on the problem you are trying to solve
    • Individual’s/ Founder’s entrepreneurial capabilities to build a high-impact organisation
    • Solution has the potential to create long-term and sustained Impact with the community, at a city / state level and at scale
    • Investability / sustainability of the product / service
    • Individuals who are open to feedback and can gain from our incubation support
  • The timelines are as follows:

    • Applications will be open from the 17th of April 2023 to the 20th of May 2023
    • First Shortlist post Review of Applications by Mid-May.
    • Second Shortlist post Screening Calls with (Co)Founders by end of May.
    • Final Pitch Panels to be completed by Mid June 2023
    • Cohort Announcement by 3rd week of June 2023
    • Induction & Cohort commencement latest by the 5th of July 2023

    Please note: the selection process will be conducted virtually.

We will not be providing any financial support for the July 2023 cohort. UnLtd India’s USP is its Incubation program and making social entrepreneurs ready for pitching to investors. Our Program provides one-on-one coaching, workshop-based learning, access to experts, mentors, investors, and peer learning.

UnLtd India’s mission is to find, support, and grow early-stage social entrepreneurs who can build high-impact sustainable organisations, and doesn’t charge a fee for this program. We however encourage Social Entrepreneurs incubated by UnLtd India to give back in donations or time to support new Incubatees of UnLtd India.
This program is a hybrid of Online and In-person. In person workshops, site visits will be dependent on the pandemic risks and travel restrictions applicable from time to time.
UnLtd India supports founders of registered organisations under its incubation program. Hence, please do apply once you have registered.
If you have a registered organisation, and plan on building a team and scaling your impact, yes, you can apply.
If you haven’t been selected the first time around, you can apply again. If you have been a part of the Incubation Program before, but if you are still in the stages of Prototyping / Developing a Minimum Viable Product / Piloting the product or solution, you can reapply.
Our program is designed only for Social Entrepreneurs and hence attendance in workshops, one-on-one coaching is limited to the Founder / Co-Founders. Hence, while we have no restrictions on your being part of another Incubator, we recommend that you only apply if you have the time for our intense program.
Our program is only for Founder/ Co-Founders – Social Entrepreneurs.
Our application will support information of up to 3 Co-Founders, with 1 being the Primary Applicant. He/She will be the primary participant in UnLtd India’s 40 weeks Intensive Incubation Program.
To be eligible for our Program, you must have a registered organisation and be working full-time. If part-time ( upwards of 3 days a week) currently, you need to have a well-defined path for becoming full-time within the period of UnLtd India’s support.
You can reapply and depending on your journey, you can be selected again for the next level of growth.
